I went for lunch here today with a friend. This was because we discovered that the Saffron Grill restaurant in Herndon town center had closed down. I have passed by Anitas countless times but for some reason I did not attribute to the fine restaurant it is. I was expecting to find a run down place . I was pleasantly surprised to find a very nice restaurant - granted the first booth we sat in had a shaking bench. The service was very good - very attentive staff. Food was hot. Menu has a lot of choice.

We had Crab & Shrimp Enchiladas  *(Baby shrimp mixed with crab meat $10.95) and the chicken Fajitas (Marinated fajitas, grilled peppers, onions,Spanish rice and refried beans, salsa verde, a variety of cheeses, roseanne's dressing
and hot flour tortillas. ) Between the two the Chicken Fajitas looked very filling. Both the dishes tasted very good. I would have liked the Crab and shrimp enchilada to be spicy but may be I will ask for spicy next time. Definitely recommend this restaurant or lunch or dinner.

Anita's is amazingly good -- they have some of the best breakfast plates I've ever had, including the Mr. T's Special and anything with chorizo. Service sometimes lags, depending on who you have, but on a nice leisurely weekend morning with a newspaper spread out in front of you, there's no better place to be.
Hi Paula,

Thanks for letting me about thier breakfasts. Good to know if I am near a Anitas at breakfast time :)

Have you gone to Tortilla Factory right across the street?
