Trains, Trains and Monroe Street Market

We are a family that loves trains, at least I can speak for my son and me. Last weekend I visited one of Bozzuto's brand new Apartment Communities in Washington DC called Monroe Street Market. The occasion was an event "Total Bazaar" organized by Monroe Street Market along with YelpDC and CulturalDC, many local artists and organizations.

My son was on board with this visit also because we were going to take the Metro to Monroe Street Market. I don't usually ride the metro so I did some digging into the location  to get to Monroe Street Market from Montgomery County, where I live. A look at Metro's map shows how central this location is to every place you would want to reach.

The 'Total Bazaar" event was great. A lot of artists opened their shops to visitors to buy holiday gifts and even offered food. Loved the Veggie Sloppy Joe from NeatMeatDC and enjoyed the Bazaar activities and artist studios. Monroe Street Market is a very nice place to live with convenient transportation options to Downtown DC and Montgomery County specially Silver Spring. Also you can take the Metro to DC's national airport or transfer one stop away to Metro's Green Line to get to BWI airport transferring at Greenbelt. With the Silver Line opening in 2014, Tysons Corner and Reston also becomes a commute option.

Here are some quick pictures of the event I took from my phone and want to go back and take a tour. If you are looking for an apartment with a lot of top amenities and excellent commute options to work definitely check out Monroe Street Market
