Dear Mr Siestma:I worked in my college dining hall and was given the "dickens" by the German dietician when I just rinsed out the serving coffee carafe with hot water. She said you must use soap and water to remove the fusel oil deposits in the carafe that makes the coffee taste bitter. In a recent restaurant visit at the Breakfast Shoppe in Severna Park, Md the waitress refilled our coffee cup from a visibly coffee stained carafe. I thank you for your attention to detail in your reviews (like the noise level) and I urge you to make some suitable comment on the lack o cleaning serving coffee carafes properly as I believe that are nit even rinsed out let alone washed out with soap and water. Thanjk you./s/Frank
