Wat Thai in Silver Spring, MD on April 17, 2011 celebrated Songkran which is Thailand’s New Year. There were many vendors and from what I have learned is that the longer the line means that whatever that is being sold is probably really good. There was everything from beef noodle soup to mango and sticky rice. Here are a few pictures of the festival and some food. So if you want a bit of Thailand in Washington DC area head to this place next year and experience Songkran for yourself. I know I am going back. Next time I will have better pictures, I was too busy eating.
