When you are trying out a new restaurant it is a good sign if the parking lot is full. Of course Asia Cafe Just off the Spicewood Springs Exit on 183 in Austin shares the mall space with Asia Market, Chen's Noodle House and Dynasty Chinese restaurant.
As you enter the Asia Cafe you see the line for ordering ( no service ) and that's comforting too. You go to the counter and place an order and wait for your order number to be called. As we made our way to the counter i could not help asking a diner what he was eating as it looked so good and his answer was "Spicy Fish"
The seating area is big and also there are rooms on the side for larger groups. Along with the long list of menu items there are others on a white board ( see their website for some new dishes http://www.asiamarketaustin.com/restaurantHome.html )
We ordered Spice Shredded chicken which was very very tasty with chicken fried rice and Spicy chicken Noodles ( like a Chicken Lo Mein) The portions are big and they give you containers for take away at a nominal cost.
Judging by the mixture of clientele I would surmise that the cuisine is authentic. The line at the counter grew longer and the place which I guessed could seat over 100 people was full. Very reasonable prices and a great place to eat or take carry out food.
