Indique Restaurant in Washington DC

I went with a couple of friend's to the Indique restaurant in Cleveland Park. The restaurant is just above the exit from the Cleveland Park metro. The decor seems like a lot of thought and work has gone into it and looks largely Indian - Elegant and Princely.Cleveland Park on Connecticut Ave has become like a downtown, maybe I should call it uptown ( The Uptown theatre is right across).

Indique as the website says is a combination of "Indian" and "Unique". I have never eaten "Shrimp and Scallop Masala" in India but I am glad there are courageous chefs who keep the customer's interest at heart and produce such masterpieces. The shrimps were succulent and the scallops cooked just right. I have always wondered how much effort it takes to cook scallops just right. I remember the time in a sports bar in a small town in pennsylvania where the cook seems to have cooked my shrimp dish with a vengeance. Shrimps and all seafood has to be cooked with care and love otherwise it may become rubbery and not very palatable as did my lobster at McCormick and Schmick at Reston a few month's ago.

I would recommend Indique to anyone who likes good and tasty Indian food. Their website is at Indique.com
